Before
arriving in Guangzhou, I took several
photos of the
crowded train on
the opposite tracks. You would
see that the train was very very crowded, like “sardine fish in a can”.
In this period, many people went back to their working places in
Guangzhou, Shenzhen and nearby cities
after long a Chinese New
Year holiday. Our
train arrived in Guangzhou station at 11:00pm.
It was delayed for 3 hours!!
Train delay is common in China during the peak time.
People called this period as “Seasonal Peak Transport 春运”
After
the train had arrived in Guangzhou, I took the underground railway to the
Guangzhou Dung Station and back to Shenzhen.
The underground railway links Guangzhou station and Guangzhou Dung
station. It was very convenient for people to go to Guangzhou Dung
station directly after you got off the train. As
you know, there are only a few trains from Guangzhou station to Shenzhen, but Guangzhou Dung station is the main terminus of the trains
from Shenzhen and Kowloon. Trains
from Shenzhen and Guangzhou are very busy, there are 4 pairs of trains running
to and fro between the two cities per hour.
The cost of the ticket was RMB 75 and you can reach Shenzhen in one
hour. I
reached Hong Kong at about 3:30pm. My
journey was over here. |
